Wavell Plan- essentially dealing with Indian demand of self-rule and reconstitution of Viceroy’s Council was put forth by Lord Wavell in 1945.

1. Reconstituting the Viceroy’s Executive Council to include more Indian members.
2. Trying to find a solution acceptable to both the Congress and the Muslim League regarding power-sharing and self-rule.

The plan, however, did not succeed in resolving the conflict between the two major political groups, eventually leading to further negotiations and the Cabinet Mission Plan in 1946.
