Selection Process

PET ( Physical Efficiency Test)

The one thing we didn’t mention in the above table is running for the ITBP. Running is same for the every post and it’s 5 KM in 24 minutes. It’s easy for everyone. You can easily complete this running task if you work on 2 months in running.

After the running phase, you have to pass the medical and written test too. There is also a Long and High Jump which you have to clear for moving forward in the process.

Race:  Male – 1.6 Kms Race in 7.30 minutes, Female – 800 Meters Race in 4.45 minutes.

Long Jump: Male – 11 Feet, Female – 09 Feet (03 Chances).

High Jump:  Male – 3½ Feet, Female – 03 Feet (03 Chances).

So these are the physical eligibility criteria for the ITBP. After complete these tasks, you will be selected for the medical and written exams.

Written Test

For ITBP Tradesman’s question paper will be of 01-hour duration. It will consist of 50 OMR-based objective-type questions (01 mark each). The question paper will be set in bilingual language i.e. both in Hindi and English. The Question Paper will comprise of questions on:

1. General Awareness / General Knowledge – 15 questions
2. Mathematics – 10 questions
3. Reasoning – 15 questions
4. English / Hindi – 10 questions

Medical Test

You will be called for Medical Examination on the basis of the merit of written examination and trade test. These candidates will be medically examined to assess their physical & medical fitness as per Medical Standards from the officials of ITBP.

Vision: Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without correction (i.e. without wearing glasses).
