Use of Possessive Pronouns in Sentence in Hindi – Rules, Examples and Exercise Practice

ये  Possessive Pronouns है  mine, ours, yours, his, hers and theirs.

Note: हिदी में Possessive Adjective (my, our, etc.) और  Possessive Pronoun (mine, ours, etc.) दोनों का अर्थ एक समान है लेकिन दोनों के प्रयोग में अंतर है।

जैसे

Possessive Adjective के बाद Noun का रहना आवश्यक होता है

1. This is my book. [my के बाद Noun (book) आया है |
2. Your book is good. [your के बाद Noun (book) आया है

2…Possessive Pronoun के तुरंत बाद कोई Noun नहीं दिया जा सकता।

जैसे

1. This is mine. (mine के बाद कोई Noun नहीं आया है )
2. This pen is mine. (mine के बाद कोई Noun नहीं आया है )
3. This is yours. (yours के बाद कोई Noun नहीं आया है।)
4. That pen is yours. (yours के बाद कोई Noun नहीं आया है )
5. स्पष्ट है कि ऐसा लिखना गलत होगा
6. This is mine pen. (यह वाक्य गलत है।)
7. That is yours pen. (यह वाक्य गलत है।)

3…लेकिन, ‘His’ Possessive Adjective और Possessive Pronoun दोनों है।

जैसे

This is his pen. ~ इस वाक्य में ‘his’ Possessive Adj. है।

This pen is his. ~ इस वाक्य में ‘his’ Possessive Pron. है।

यहाँ सिर्फ Possessive Pronouns के विभिन्न प्रयोगों को समझें1

1. यह कलम मेरी है। This pen is mine.
2. ये कलमें मेरी हैं। These pens are mine.
3. वह पुस्तक तुम्हारी है। That book is yours.
4. वे पुस्तकें तुम्हारी हैं। Those books are yours.
5. वह साड़ी उसकी है। That saree is hers.
6. वे साड़ियाँ उसकी हैं। Those sarees are hers.
7. वह कमीज उसकी है। That shirt is his.
8. वे कमीजें उसकी हैं। Those shirts are his.
9. यह कुत्ता हमारा है। This dog is ours.
10. ये कुत्ते हमारे हैं। These dogs are ours.
11. वह घोड़ा उनलोगों का है। That horse is theirs.
12. वे घोड़े उनलोगों के हैं। Those horses are theirs.
13. यह हमारा है। This is ours.
14. ये हमारे हैं। These are ours.
15. वह उनलोगों का है। That is theirs.

10. गलती तुमलोगों की है। The mistake is yours.

12. उसकी (स्त्री.) नीली है। Hers is blue.
13. उनलोगों का भूरा है। Theirs is brown.
14. उनलोगों का सबसे अच्छा है। Theirs is the best.

1. बैट मेरा है, बॉल तुम्हारा The bat is mine, the ball yours.
2. बैल मेरे हैं, गायें उनलोगों की। The oxen are mine, the cows theirs.
3. दूध मेरा है, चीनी उसकी The milk is mine, the sugar hers.
4. तुम्हारा उजला है, उनलोगों का काला। Yours is white, theirs black.
5. कलम मेरी है, तुम्हारी नहीं। The pen is mine, not yours.
6. कुत्ते मेरे हैं, उसके नहीं। The dogs are mine, not his.
7. यह पुस्तक मेरी है, तुम्हारी नहीं। This book is mine, not yours.
8. यह मेरी पुस्तक है, तुम्हारी नहीं। This is my book, not yours.

The के प्रयोग पर भी ध्यान रखें।

Affirmative, Negative and Interrogative Sentences

1. यह मेरी पुस्तक है। This is my book.
2. यह मेरी पुस्तक नहीं है। This is not my book.
3. क्या यह मेरी पुस्तक है? Is this my book?
4. वे लोग हमारे शिक्षक हैं। They are our teachers.
5. वे लोग हमारे शिक्षक नहीं हैं। They are not our teachers.
6. क्या वे लोग हमारे शिक्षक हैं? Are they our teachers?
7. ये तुम्हारी हैं। These are yours.
8. ये तुम्हारी नहीं हैं। These are not yours.
9. क्या ये तुम्हारी हैं? Are these yours?
10. कुरसियाँ हमारी थीं। The chairs were ours.
11. कुरसियाँ हमारी नहीं थीं। The chairs were not ours.

1. Possessive Pronouns क्या हैं?

Definition (परिभाषा):
Possessive pronouns वे शब्द हैं जो किसी व्यक्ति, वस्तु या जानवर के मालिकाना हक को दर्शाते हैं और noun को दोहराने की जरूरत नहीं पड़ती।

Examples (उदाहरण):

• This is my book. → यह मेरी किताब है।
• The bag is mine. → बैग मेरा है।
• That is her pen. → वह उसका पेन है।
• The pen is hers. → पेन उसका है।

2. List of Possessive Pronouns

Note:

• Possessive adjective noun के पहले आता है।
• Possessive pronoun noun को रिप्लेस कर देता है।

3. Rules for Using Possessive Pronouns (नियम)

1. Noun के पहले: Use my, your, his, her, its, our, their
   • Example: My book is on the table. → मेरी किताब मेज़ पर है।
2. Noun के बदले: Use mine, yours, his, hers, ours, theirs
   • Example: This book is mine. → यह किताब मेरी है।
3. Verb के बाद: Possessive pronouns subject या object के रूप में verb के साथ प्रयोग होते हैं।
   • Example: The bag belongs to her. → बैग उसके है।
4. Plural nouns के लिए:
   • Example: The books are theirs. → किताबें उनकी हैं।
5. Avoid using apostrophe (’s) with possessive pronouns
   • गलत: This is hers’s bag.
   • सही: This is hers bag.
