Use of This, That, These and Those in Sentences in Hindi with Example and Exercise Practice

These–ये, ये सब Those–वे, वे सब	बहुवचन (अनके व्यक्तियो/वस्तुओं के लिए)

1.“This, That, These’ और ‘Those Demonstrative Pronouns/ Adjectives हैं। This/These से निकटता और That/Those से दूरी का बोध होता है।

2.This/That के साथ Singular Noun तथा Singular Verb का प्रयोग होता है। These/Those के साथ Plural Noun तथा Plural Verb का प्रयोग होता है।

Use of This, That, These and Those Solved Examples:

1. यह एक लड़का है। This is a boy.
2. ये लड़के हैं। These are boys.
3. वह एक लड़की है। That is a girl.
4. वे लड़कियाँ हैं। Those are girls.
5. यह एक चींटी है। This is an ant.
6. ये चींटियाँ हैं। These are ants.
7. यह राम है। This is Ram.
8. वह पानी है। That is water.

Note: ‘‘वह राम है’ का अनुवाद “He is Ram/That is Ram” होगा। *That is Ram” तब होगा जब राम की तरफ इशारा करते हुए उसे निर्देशित करना हो। इसी प्रकार ‘‘वे लड़के हैं” का अनुवाद “Those are boys” तब होगा जब boys को निर्देशित करना हो।

• वह कुत्ता खतरनाक है। That dog is dangerous.

• ये नदियाँ सूखी थीं। These rivers were dry.
• वह आदमी पागल था। That man was mad.
• वे आदमी पागल थे। Those men were mad.
• वह आदमी एक किसान है/था। That man is/was a farmer.
• वे आदमी किसान हैं/थे। Those men are/were farmers.

Use of This, That, These and Those in Negative Sentences

1. यह घोड़ा नहीं है। This is not a horse.
2. ये घोड़े नहीं हैं।These are not horses.
3. वे गायें नहीं थीं। Those were not cows.
4. यह लड़का चोर नहीं है। This boy is not a thief.
5. ये लड़के चोर नहीं थे। These boys were not thieves.
6. वे पेड़ हरे नहीं हैं। Those trees are not green.
7. ये लड़के बुरे नहीं थे। These boys were not bad.
