The Institute will provide new career opportunities for fresh as well as experienced engineers wanting to make a career in the rapidly growing railway \/ metro industry.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the occasion, Dr. Sudhir Krishna, Secretary, said, \u201cI\u2019m delighted to be a part of this launch. There are more than 19 upcoming metro rail projects in the country, all aimed at making commuting more easy and our cities more beautiful. However, to make this dream a reality we will need a large number of skilled manpower and, besides, comprehensive mobility planned for the influence zone of the MRTS Project.\u00a0 I expect IMRT to help in bridging this gap. The engineering students will now have another stream to specialize in and also be a part of the nation building process. This institute is the need of the hour and I congratulate BARSYL for taking this initiative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are more than 19 upcoming metro rail projects in the country, all aimed at making commuting easy. However, we will need a large pool of skilled manpower\u2026 For the Mass Rapid Transit System projects,\u201d Krishna said.<\/p>\n<p>For professionals employed with metro railway systems, IMRT will also launch the country\u2019s first professional course on \u2018Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety\u2019 (RAMS) in November in association with Llyods Rail Asia and the Reliability Engineering Centre of IIT-Kharagpur.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIMRT will be known by the students we produce. We will mould the next generation of techno-managers who will create a positive impact in their work through learning,\u201d said Gyan Prakash, the Director General of the institute.<\/p>\n<p>The institute will offer a Post Graduate course for engineering students to produce \u2018industry-ready rail managers\u2019 well-versed in rail technologies through expertise which can be used globally, said Sunil Srivastava, an IMRT Governing Council Member.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn behalf of IMRT I would like to thank each one of you present here for being a part of this launch.
