{"id":7994,"date":"2025-08-02T15:59:00","date_gmt":"2025-08-02T15:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/railtravels.org\/?p=7994"},"modified":"2025-08-02T15:59:00","modified_gmt":"2025-08-02T15:59:00","slug":"important-rules-to-follow-guidelines-for-train-services-beginning-on-01-06-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.reilsolar.com\/train\/important-rules-to-follow-guidelines-for-train-services-beginning-on-01-06-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Important Rules To Follow-Guidelines for Train Services beginning on 01-06-2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><strong>Important Rules To Follow-Guidelines for Train Services beginning on 01-06-2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Guidelines for Train Services beginning on 1st June, 2025-Important Rules To Follow\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-24789\" src=\"https:\/\/www.reilsolar.com\/train\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2022\/01\/Guidelines-for-Train-Services-beginning-on-1st-June-2020-Important-Rules-To-Follow.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"791\" height=\"960\" data-pagespeed-url-hash=\"90625004\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Railways to ensure separate entry &amp; exit gates at stations to the extent feasible<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Standard social distancing norms, safety, security &amp; hygiene protocols to be followed<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Movement of passengers &amp; driver of the vehicle to &amp; fro from Railway Station to be allowed on confirmed Railway Ticket as per MHA guidelines<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here are the official and updated <strong>guidelines for passengers traveling by train services beginning on 1\u202fJune\u202f2025<\/strong> in India:<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>\ud83d\udcdd Train Service Guidelines (Effective 1 June 2025)<\/h2>\n<h3>1. <strong>New Timetable Comes into Effect<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Indian Railways introduced a <strong>revised nationwide timetable from 1 June 2025<\/strong>, which includes updated departure\/arrival times, newly added express services, and adjustments aligned with seasonal demand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>2. <strong>Reservation Chart Rules<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>As of <strong>1 May 2025<\/strong>, reservation charts are now prepared <strong>8 hours before train departure<\/strong>, enhancing clarity for waitlisted passengers and reducing uncertainty.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>3. <strong>No Waitlisted Boarding in AC\/Sleeper Coaches<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Starting May 2025, passengers holding <strong>waitlisted tickets are no longer allowed to board Sleeper or AC reserved coaches<\/strong>. They can only travel in <strong>Unreserved general compartments<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Note: <strong>Waitlist tickets are also capped<\/strong>\u2014only <strong>25% of berths per coach<\/strong> can be on waiting lists (excluding quotas for senior citizens, women, Divyangjans, and foreign tourists).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>4. <strong>Advance Reservation Period (ARP)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bookings open only up to 60 days in advance<\/strong>, reduced from 120 days (effective since 1 November 2025). Exceptions:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Foreign Tourist Quota<\/strong>: 365-day ARP<\/li>\n<li><strong>Certain short-distance trains<\/strong> retain longer booking windows<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>5. <strong>Emergency Quota (EQ) Requests<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>From July 2025 onwards, all <strong>Emergency Quota requests must be submitted at least one day prior to travel<\/strong>. Same-day applications are no longer accepted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>6. <strong>Tatkal Bookings: Aadhaar Authentication Now Mandatory<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>From <strong>1 July 2025<\/strong>, Tatkal ticket bookings require <strong>Aadhaar-based OTP verification<\/strong> for all passengers booking online\u2014aimed at reducing misuse.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>7. <strong>Fare Revision Starting in July 2025<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A <strong>minimal fare revision will come into force on 1 July 2025<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>No fare hike for General Class travel up to 500 km.<\/li>\n<li>AC\/Tatkal categories may see a very slight increase (0.5\u20132 paise\/km).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>8. <strong>Senior Citizen Fare Concessions Restored<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>From <strong>1 June 2025<\/strong>, <strong>senior citizen fare concessions<\/strong> have been reinstated, after being suspended during the pandemic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>9. <strong>Baggage &amp; Safety Rules<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Updated baggage limits apply:\n<ul>\n<li>1A: 70\u202fkg | 2A: 50\u202fkg | Sleeper: 40\u202fkg | 2S\/GS: 35\u202fkg. Exceeding this may incur surcharges.
