The total length of these projects is 49,069 Km, costing Rs.6.75 lakh crore. This includes 07 New Line, 01 Gauge Conversion and 02 Doubling projects of length 1014.77 km &amp; costing Rs.10146.48 crore falling fully\/partly in the State of Haryana. The project wise details of projects are made available in public domain on Indian Railways website i.e. www.indianrailways.gov.in &gt;Ministry of Railways &gt;Railway Board &gt;About Indian Railways &gt;Railway Board Directorates &gt;Finance (Budget).<\/p>\n<p>(b) &amp; (c): The timely completion of any Railway project depends on various factors like quick land acquisition by State Government, forest clearance by officials of forest department, shifting of infringing utilities (both underground and over ground), statutory clearances from various authorities, geological and topographical conditions of area, law and order situation in the area of project site, number of working months in a year for particular project site due to climatic considerations, encountering unforeseen conditions like earthquake, flooding, excessive rains, strikes of labour, orders of Hon\u2019ble Courts, situation and conditions of working agencies\/contractors etc. All these factors vary from project to project and site to site and affect the completion time and cost of the project, which is finally worked out at the completion stage. Therefore, timeline for completion of projects cannot be given.<\/p>\n<p>(d): These two projects have been taken up by HRIDC, JV company of Government of Haryana and Ministry of Railways for feasibility steady. The report has been shared with Government of Haryana. There is no further development since the studies have not been referred to Ministry of Railways.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the latest verified overview of <strong>upcoming, ongoing, and new railway projects in Haryana<\/strong> (as of mid\u20112025), based on official sources and strategic plans:<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>\ud83d\ude84 1. Major New Railway Lines &amp; Survey Initiatives<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>**Delhi\u2013Sohna\u2013Nuh\u2013Ferozepur Jhirka\u2013Alwar Line (~104\u202fkm)**<br \/>\nApproved and allocated funding in the FY2025\u201126 rail budget. The project will connect Delhi to Alwar via Sohna, Nuh, and Ferozepur Jhirka.<br \/>\nCost estimated at \u20b92,500\u202fcrore.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Karnal\u2013Yamunanagar Line (~63\u202fkm)<\/strong> and <strong>Yamunanagar\u2013Chandigarh (via Naraingarh\u2011Sadhaura, ~91\u202fkm)<\/strong><br \/>\nFeasibility, DPR approved; final location survey funded. Cost ~\u20b9901 crore. Work expected to begin soon.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mohali\u2013Rajpura Line (~24\u202fkm)<\/strong><br \/>\nDPR nearing completion. Will directly link Chandigarh to Ambala region.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kaithal\u2013Patiala<\/strong>, <strong>Bhiwani\u2013Loharu (via Kairu\u2013Jui)<\/strong>, <strong>Narwana\u2013Hisar<\/strong>, <strong>Uklana\u2013Narwana<\/strong> lines<br \/>\nUnder survey or DPR stage through HRIDC, part of broader network expansion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>\ud83c\udf10 2. Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC) &amp; RRTS Integration<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>**HORC Project (Palwal\u2013Sonipat, ~122\u202fkm)**<br \/>\nDPR ready; light-engine section (Patli\u2013Manesar) commissioned in Sept 2025. The corridor includes sections with double tunnels (4.7\u202fkm) through the Aravallis, and elevated tracks in Kurukshetra (~5.9\u202fkm).<br \/>\nCorporate partner: HRIDC; Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank funding secured.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eastern Orbital Rail Corridor (EORC)<\/strong><br \/>\nRuns parallel to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, connecting Sonipat\u2013Ghaziabad\u2013Faridabad. 90\u202fkm in UP, 45\u202fkm in Haryana; DPR completed as of Feb 2025.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Garhi Harsaru\u2013Farukhnagar\u2013Jhajjar (36\u202fkm)<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Delhi-Alwar RRTS (104\u202fkm)<\/strong><br \/>\nSurveys or DPR underway\/in progress. Delhi\u2013Alwar corridor expected to link with HORC at Sohna.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>\ud83d\udea5 3. Infrastructure Upgrades &amp; Capacity Expansion<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Kurukshetra Elevated Track (5.875\u202fkm)<\/strong><br \/>\nEliminates five level crossings; 68% construction complete.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Manesar\u2013Patli Section (8.7\u202fkm)<\/strong><br \/>\nFully completed in April 2025 as part of HORC; includes rail connectivity to Maruti\u2019s cargo terminal. Multi-modal industrial integration underway. Can handle ~4.5 lakh cars per year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>\ud83d\udcca 4.
