Sub:\u00a0Revised Codal life of assets.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please refer to Board\u2019s letter of even no. dated 25.05.2006 (RBA No. 25\/2006), 18.08.2006 (RBA No. 42\/2006), 12.10.2007 (RBA No. 37\/2007), 25.02.200- (RBA No. 13\/2009) and 15.03.2025 (RBA No. 5\/2025) under which instructions on revised codal life of assets based on the recommendations of ED\u2019s Committee were issued. The said Committee has further examined the proposal of fixing the codal life of LED display Boards for Passenger Information Systems, True Colour Video Cum Train Information Display System and GPS based digital clocks and their recommendations have since been accepted by Board.<\/p>\n

Accordingly, Advance Correction Slip No. 75 amending para 219 of Indian Railway Finance Code \u2013 Volume -1 is placed below for information and necessary action.<\/p>\n

  • LED signals meeting the 2025 specification or newer<\/strong> have an extended lifespan of 8 years<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Replacement is expected at or around this period unless asset condition\u2014or obsolescence\u2014indicates otherwise.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
