South Central Railway was among the first zones to eliminate all the Un-Manned Level Crossing (UMLCs) gates across its entire network by October 2018. In addition, focus is being given towards the elimination of the manned level crossing gates on a mission-mode as well.<\/p>\n
At present, there are a total 1411 manned level crossings over South Central Railway. During the Financial year 2019-20, a total of 127 Manned level crossings have been removed by construction of LHS\/ROB\/RUBs. Even during the current financial year, 04 Manned level crossings have been replaced inspite of the lockdown in the wake of COVID-19<\/p>\n
Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manger advised the officers and staff to take all necessary awareness measures to alert road users at Manned Level Crossing Gates duly following all necessary precautions due to COVID-19.
