CHANGE IN STATUS TO SUPERFAST TRAIN WITH CHANGE IN TRAIN NO.:<\/strong><\/p>\n

19312\/19311<\/strong>\u00a0Indore \u2013 Pune \u2013 Indore Express<\/strong>\u00a0(Via Vasai Road) will be changed from\u00a0ORDINARY EXPRESS to SUPERFAST EXPRESS<\/strong> w.e.f 1st October, 2025.<\/p>\n

Its train number will also change from\u00a019312 Indore \u2013 Pune Express to 22944 Indore \u2013 Pune Superfast Express w.e.f 6th January, 2025.<\/strong>\u00a0Similarly, in return direction its train number will change from 19311 Pune \u2013 Indore Express to 22943 Pune \u2013 Indore Superfast Express w.e.f 7th January, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what I found about the upgrade of the Indore \u2013 Pune Ordinary Express to Superfast status<\/strong>, including changes to its train number, as conducted by Western Railway:<\/p>\n

Conversion to Superfast Express & Train Number Change<\/h2>\n

  • The Indore\u2013Pune Ordinary Express (via Panvel)<\/strong>\u2014which previously ran under train numbers 19311\/19312<\/strong>\u2014was upgraded to Superfast Express status<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • With this upgrade, the train’s number was changed to 22943\/22944<\/strong>, and it came to be known as the Indore\u2013Pune (later Indore\u2013Daund) Superfast Express<\/strong>.
    \nThis change occurred around July 2016<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What the Upgrade Signifies<\/h2>\n
