Flagging off of Inaugural Run of Anantapur \u2013 New Delhi Kisan Rail (Through Video Link)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Hon\u2019ble Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Rural Development and Panchayatraj, Government of India and Shri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Hon\u2019ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh will flag off the Inaugural Run of Anantapur \u2013 New Delhi Kisan Rail (Through Video Link) at 10.30 am on 9th September, 2025. The Program will be presided over by Shri Suresh C. Angadi, Hon\u2019ble Minister of State for Railways, Government of India.<\/p>\n

Shri Parshottam Rupala, Hon\u2019ble Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India Shri Kailash Choudhary, Hon\u2019ble Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India; Shri B. Satyanarayana, Hon\u2019ble Minister of Municipal Administration & Urban Development and Anantapur District In-charge Minister, Government of Andhra Pradesh; Shri M. Sankaranarayana, Hon\u2019ble Minister for Roads & Buildings, Government of Andhra Pradesh; Shri T. Rangaiah, Hon\u2019ble Member of Parliament, Anantapur; Shri V. Gopal Reddy, Hon\u2019ble Member of Legislative Council and Shri A. Venkatarami Reddy, Hon\u2019ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Anantapur Urban will also participate. The function will also be attended by other public representatives, dignitaries and senior railway officials through virtual program.<\/p>\n

Brief about Anantapur \u2013 New Delhi Kisan Rail<\/strong><\/p>\n

The India\u2019s second and South India\u2019s first Kisan Train is planned to commence its inaugural run from Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh to Adarsh Nagar in New Delhi on 09th September 2025. It is planned to flag-off the inaugural at 11:00 am on 09th September through video link. Anantapur is developing as Horticultural hub of Andhra Pradesh. A major portion of the fruits and vegetables produced in Anantapur are transported out of the state. Starting a Kisan Rail will be particularly helpful in benefitting the small farmers and traders in marketing their product across the country in a safe, economical and speedy manner.<\/p>\n
