An internship programme for the year 2017-18 is being conducted by the Ministry of Railways. Salient features of the internship\u00a0\u00a0programme of the Railways are as follows:-<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
1<\/td>\nObjective<\/strong><\/td>\nTo\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 familiarize\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 the\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 students\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 pursuing Graduation\/Post\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Graduation\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 in\u00a0\u00a0 Engineering\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 and MBA, with\u00a0 the working\u00a0 of Railways\u00a0 and\u00a0 formulation of policies. To allow young\u00a0 academic\u00a0 talent\u00a0 to be associated\u00a0 with the Railways\u00a0 work for mutual\u00a0 benefit.
\nThe \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 internship\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 is\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 neither\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 a\u00a0\u00a0 job\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 nor\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 any\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 such assurance\u00a0 for\u00a0 a\u00a0 job\u00a0 in\u00a0 the\u00a0 Indian\u00a0 Railways.<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2<\/td>\nEligibility<\/strong><\/td>\nAny\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Indian\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 national\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 pursuing\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Graduation \/Post\u00a0 Graduation\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 in Engineering\u00a0\u00a0 (Civil,\u00a0 Electrical, Mechanical\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 &\u00a0\u00a0 Electronics,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Computers\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 disciplines only)\u00a0\u00a0 or\u00a0\u00a0 MBA\u00a0\u00a0 from\u00a0\u00a0 Institutes\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 of\u00a0\u00a0 National\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 and International\u00a0\u00a0 repute\u00a0 is eligible to apply.
\na)\u00a0 Students\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 pursuing\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Post\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Graduation \u00a0\u00a0in Engineering\u00a0\u00a0 should\u00a0 have\u00a0 obtained\u00a0 a First class Graduate\u00a0 Degree
\nb) Students\u00a0 pursuing\u00a0 undergraduate\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 course in Engineering\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 should\u00a0\u00a0 have\u00a0\u00a0 completed\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 at\u00a0 least two\u00a0 years\u00a0 of study in\u00a0\u00a0 Degree\u00a0 and\u00a0 should\u00a0 have a consistently\u00a0 good\u00a0 academic\u00a0 record.
\nc)\u00a0 Students\u00a0 pursuing\u00a0\u00a0 MBA should\u00a0 have\u00a0 obtained a First Class Graduate\u00a0\u00a0 Degree\u00a0 and\u00a0 should\u00a0 have successfully\u00a0 completed\u00a0\u00a0 one year of the course.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
3<\/td>\nDuration<\/strong><\/td>\nDuration\u00a0 of the internship\u00a0\u00a0 will be two months\u00a0 during the financial\u00a0 year 2018-19<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
4<\/td>\nSubject and Location<\/strong><\/td>\nThe\u00a0 area\u00a0 of\u00a0 study\u00a0\u00a0 can\u00a0 include\u00a0\u00a0 Logistics,\u00a0\u00a0 Financial Management,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 HR,\u00a0\u00a0 Materials\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Management,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Project Management\u00a0 and\u00a0 other\u00a0 technical\u00a0 matters\u00a0\u00a0 pertaining to Railways,\u00a0 as may be assigned\u00a0 to the Intern.\u00a0\u00a0 A list of topics is given in Annexure-I\u00a0 to the letter.
\nHe\/She \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 should\u00a0\u00a0 also\u00a0 mentioned\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 suggested\u00a0\u00a0 areas\u00a0\u00a0 of his\/her\u00a0\u00a0 interest\u00a0 and location\u00a0 to facilitate\u00a0 arrangement of the\u00a0 subject\u00a0 of study.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 However,\u00a0\u00a0 assignment\u00a0\u00a0 of the subject\/ topic \u00a0\u00a0shall\u00a0\u00a0 be\u00a0\u00a0 the\u00a0\u00a0 prerogative\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 of\u00a0\u00a0 the administration.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
5<\/td>\nRemuneration<\/strong><\/td>\nNo remuneration\u00a0 is payable<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
6<\/td>\nStay Arrangements\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/td>\nBoarding\u00a0 and\u00a0 lodging\u00a0\u00a0 arrangements\u00a0 will\u00a0 have\u00a0 to be made\u00a0 by\u00a0 the\u00a0 Intern.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 However,\u00a0\u00a0 if\u00a0 such\u00a0 facilities\u00a0 are available\u00a0 in Railway\u00a0 premises,\u00a0\u00a0 they\u00a0 can be provided on payment<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
7<\/td>\nSubmission\u00a0 of paper<\/strong><\/td>\nOn completion\u00a0\u00a0 of the Internship,\u00a0\u00a0 the intern\u00a0 would\u00a0 be required\u00a0\u00a0 to\u00a0 present\u00a0\u00a0 a\u00a0 Report\/Paper\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 on\u00a0 the\u00a0 subject allotted\u00a0 to him\/\u00a0 her<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
8<\/td>\nCertificate\u00a0 of internship\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/td>\nThe Report\/Paper\u00a0\u00a0 submitted\u00a0\u00a0 by the\u00a0 Intern\u00a0 would\u00a0 be \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 evaluated.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 On successful\u00a0 completion\u00a0\u00a0 of internship,\u00a0\u00a0 a certificate\u00a0 of internship\u00a0 would\u00a0 be issued.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
9<\/td>\nHow to apply<\/strong><\/td>\nInterested\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 and\u00a0\u00a0 eligible\u00a0\u00a0 students\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 are\u00a0 to\u00a0 send\u00a0\u00a0 their application \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0(Annexure- II)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 alongwith\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0their\u00a0\u00a0 CVs covering\u00a0 letter\u00a0 from\u00a0 the\u00a0 Institute\u00a0\u00a0 duly\u00a0 indicating\u00a0\u00a0 the place\u00a0\u00a0 where\u00a0\u00a0 they\u00a0\u00a0 intend\u00a0\u00a0 to\u00a0 intern\u00a0\u00a0 to\u00a0 CPO\u00a0 of\u00a0 the concerned \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Zonal\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Railway \/Production\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Unit\/PSU (Zonal\u00a0 Rly.\/PU\u00a0 \/PSU\u00a0 of the\u00a0 nearest\u00a0 Rail head\u00a0 to the institute)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
10<\/td>\nSelection<\/strong><\/td>\nThe requests\u00a0 will be scrutinized\u00a0\u00a0 by the\u00a0 ZR\/PU\/PSU and\u00a0 depending\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 on\u00a0 the\u00a0 merits, candidates\u00a0 would\u00a0 be selected\u00a0 for \u00a0internship by \u00a0the\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 concerned ZR\/PU\/PSU.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
