In Shatabdi express you can enjoy breakfast at around 10 AM, Lunch at 1:30 PM, Evening tea at 5:00 PM and finally dinner at around 8:00 PM.<\/p>\n

Project Swarn : Improve the passenger experience across 9 dimensions<\/strong><\/p>\n

Project Swarn in Railways<\/strong><\/p>\n

Project Swarn has been started to upgrade the condition of Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express Trains. This initiative is likely to give improved look to the coaches.<\/p>\n

The objective of\u00a0Project Swarn is to significantly improve the passenger experience across 9 dimensions which include coach interiors, toilets, onboard cleanliness, staff behavior, catering, linen, punctuality, security, on-board entertainment.<\/strong>\u00a0Real time feedback is also a part of Project Swarn.<\/p>\n

There are\u00a029 Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express trains identified under this scheme.<\/strong>\u00a0Out of these, work has already been completed on 16 trains. Work is targeted for completion on balance trains within next 8 months.<\/p>\n

This information was given by the Minister of State of Railways Shri Rajen Gohain in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today.<\/p>\n

Swarna Shatabdi Features<\/strong><\/p>\n

Salient features of \u2018Swarn\u2019 coach<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Vinyl wrapping at the entry \/ exit areas of the coach.
\n2. Vinyl wrapping above the luggage rack.
\n3. Vinyl wrapping at toilet area.
\n4. Refurbished toilet flooring with epoxy coating & entrap mat.
\n5. Provision of microburst for fragrance inside toilets.
\n6. Provision of Braille signages.
\n7. Provision of LED lights and LED reading lights.
\n8. Provision of LED coach indication board.
\n9. Provision of head rest covers.
\n10. Provision of CC cameras.
\n11. Provision of pictures of sceneries in compartment to improve aesthetics.
\nThe average cost for upgrading a coach as \u2018Swarn\u2019 coach is Rs.10 lakhs.<\/p>\n
